Narrative:
I got to work (FBO) and realized I had boyfriend's car keys. He had to be at work very shortly (airline pilot -- could not be late) and I decided to fly his keys to airport closer to house rather than drive 45 mins home. Halfway there I decided to drop keys over house rather than stop at airport, borrow car, drive home, in which case he'd be really late. I called our unicom, arranged with secretary to call boyfriend and had him waiting outside to get keys. Drop went ok, he found keys, and I flew back to work. Upon landing, I realized how stupid what I did was -- didn't check WX, poor preflight, etc. Although I stayed above 500 ft AGL (I live in fairly unpopulated area), whole idea was dumb. Next time I won't do it -- realize sometimes I exhibit impulsive behavior -- need to think things through!

Narrative: I GOT TO WORK (FBO) AND REALIZED I HAD BOYFRIEND'S CAR KEYS. HE HAD TO BE AT WORK VERY SHORTLY (AIRLINE PLT -- COULD NOT BE LATE) AND I DECIDED TO FLY HIS KEYS TO ARPT CLOSER TO HOUSE RATHER THAN DRIVE 45 MINS HOME. HALFWAY THERE I DECIDED TO DROP KEYS OVER HOUSE RATHER THAN STOP AT ARPT, BORROW CAR, DRIVE HOME, IN WHICH CASE HE'D BE REALLY LATE. I CALLED OUR UNICOM, ARRANGED WITH SECRETARY TO CALL BOYFRIEND AND HAD HIM WAITING OUTSIDE TO GET KEYS. DROP WENT OK, HE FOUND KEYS, AND I FLEW BACK TO WORK. UPON LNDG, I REALIZED HOW STUPID WHAT I DID WAS -- DIDN'T CHK WX, POOR PREFLT, ETC. ALTHOUGH I STAYED ABOVE 500 FT AGL (I LIVE IN FAIRLY UNPOPULATED AREA), WHOLE IDEA WAS DUMB.
