Narrative:
The so informed me we were required to make a logbook entry for exceeding maximum quick turn weight. We are required to wait 44 mins or have our brake temperatures checked. At the gate, we were informed of a ground stop to ord. While checking WX etc, the ground stop was canceled and we immediately departed for ord. After departure, we realized we had not obtained a new maintenance release for our logbook entry. While we had waited 44 mins as required, the paperwork was not done correctly.
