Narrative:
On aug/xx/95 at XA30 hours I taxied the glider tow plane to the first taxiway from the south end of the field. I completed my runup and proceeded to takeoff. While I was climbing out on my warm up flight I noticed that runway 17 had a white X on the threshold. I continued the warm up flight and landed on the east taxiway in the dirt as usual. On approach to the dirt runway/taxiway I could see another X on runway 35. The person mr X, was rushing to complete the runway markings. The glider pilot talked to him to see what the problem was. Another person received permission for us to do the introductory flight from him, mr X. So we proceeded to launch the glider. Later that day, mr X asked me if I knew I took off on a closed runway. At this point I realized that he was purposely contradicting himself and refused to talk with him. It turns out that the company I work for, and the owner of the airport are having a civil dispute. The reason given to close the field was that he didn't approve of our radio procedures. Underlying reasons could be that we won't pay for runway improvements. As you can tell, this has nothing to do with aviation. Furthermore, there was nothing wrong with the runway. This is just another attempt at putting us out of business.

Title: SAILPLANE ACTIVITY TOWING OP PERFORMED OFF CLOSED RWY. ALLEGED UNAUTH TKOF.
Narrative: ON AUG/XX/95 AT XA30 HRS I TAXIED THE GLIDER TOW PLANE TO THE FIRST TXWY FROM THE S END OF THE FIELD. I COMPLETED MY RUNUP AND PROCEEDED TO TKOF. WHILE I WAS CLBING OUT ON MY WARM UP FLT I NOTICED THAT RWY 17 HAD A WHITE X ON THE THRESHOLD. I CONTINUED THE WARM UP FLT AND LANDED ON THE E TXWY IN THE DIRT AS USUAL. ON APCH TO THE DIRT RWY/TXWY I COULD SEE ANOTHER X ON RWY 35. THE PERSON MR X, WAS RUSHING TO COMPLETE THE RWY MARKINGS. THE GLIDER PLT TALKED TO HIM TO SEE WHAT THE PROB WAS. ANOTHER PERSON RECEIVED PERMISSION FOR US TO DO THE INTRODUCTORY FLT FROM HIM, MR X. SO WE PROCEEDED TO LAUNCH THE GLIDER. LATER THAT DAY, MR X ASKED ME IF I KNEW I TOOK OFF ON A CLOSED RWY. AT THIS POINT I REALIZED THAT HE WAS PURPOSELY CONTRADICTING HIMSELF AND REFUSED TO TALK WITH HIM. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE COMPANY I WORK FOR, AND THE OWNER OF THE ARPT ARE HAVING A CIVIL DISPUTE. THE REASON GIVEN TO CLOSE THE FIELD WAS THAT HE DIDN'T APPROVE OF OUR RADIO PROCS. UNDERLYING REASONS COULD BE THAT WE WON'T PAY FOR RWY IMPROVEMENTS. AS YOU CAN TELL, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AVIATION. FURTHERMORE, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE RWY. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER ATTEMPT AT PUTTING US OUT OF BUSINESS.
