Narrative:
VFR flight from sea plane base to osh. (Southeast 6 mi) in amphibious float aircraft. Contact with tower leaving sea plane base, advised to proceed west to adjacent highway for base leg to runway 9. South of airport, advised to 'take a diagonal for runway end, make short approach, cleared to land!' concentrating on expediting landing, I forgot to lower landing gear. Landing was made on keels of floats. Aircraft was lifted, gear extended, and taxied to hangar. (With red face).
