Narrative:

After takeoff from sdf, (destination: stl), a rear cargo door open light was observed. The aircraft would not pressurize normally. Both pilots are sure that ground checks for door open lights prior to takeoff were made and no door open lights were noted. A return to sdf was made and company station personnel advised us that the loading crew admitted they had not securely latched the rear cargo door. We were also advised that there was no equipment malfunction and that the door was closed and latched at that time. Our light was also out. With no malfunction and all cargo doors closed, we proceeded to complete the flight to stl.
