Narrative:
Approximately 6 mi south of bdr my student contacted the tower with our intentions. Tower didn't copy our call sign so my student had to repeat his transmission. Tower then requested our position. My student stated 2 mi to south at 2200 ft. We were really 5 mi south at that altitude. Traffic conditions and radio transmission were very busy. I couldn't correct my student's radio transmission until we entered downwind at bridgeport.
