Narrative:
On flight from hnl to oak, we were cleared pilot discretion descent from FL310 to 8000 ft MSL. When we started down, we called out of FL310. No response from ATC. Both pilots tried all mikes available, but no answer. We tried VHF 1 and VHF 2 and could not raise anybody on any radio. We were SELCAL'ed on HF and even on that radio nobody answered our attempted radio calls, we finally decided we probably had a stuck microphone and were radio out, so we squawked 7600 and proceeded VFR per far 91.185 (B) and landed at oakland. On landing, suddenly all radios started working properly.
