Narrative:
At liftoff, a heading disagreement light illuminated and loss of both flight directors occurred. We were VMC and turned to what we thought was our assigned heading. Heading select, VNAV, LNAV, flight director, and autoplt modes did not work. Captain's compass seemed correct. ATC gave us headings and we notified the controller of our compass problem. We received clearance to overfly a VOR and go outbound on a radial to confirm which compass was correct. Captain's system was ok. Continued flight using #1 compass system. WX was VMC entire flight.
