Narrative:
Upon passing flw VOR on the fernando 5 arrival, the captain intercepted the 129 degree radial. He should have intercepted the 116 degree radial on the arrival. ZLA asked what our heading was. I responded 135 degrees, ZLA stated that we were 2.5 NM off course. We immediately realized the error and stated we were turning to intercept the 116 degree radial. At the time, I was changing the navigation radio to the fim VOR and dialed up the burbank ATIS for landing. I did not notice the captain's error. In the future, it would be important to ensure proper headings/radials are flown prior to changing to the next fix.

Narrative: UPON PASSING FLW VOR ON THE FERNANDO 5 ARR, THE CAPT INTERCEPTED THE 129 DEG RADIAL. HE SHOULD HAVE INTERCEPTED THE 116 DEG RADIAL ON THE ARR. ZLA ASKED WHAT OUR HDG WAS. I RESPONDED 135 DEGS, ZLA STATED THAT WE WERE 2.5 NM OFF COURSE. WE IMMEDIATELY REALIZED THE ERROR AND STATED WE WERE TURNING TO INTERCEPT THE 116 DEG RADIAL. IN THE FUTURE, IT WOULD BE IMPORTANT TO ENSURE PROPER HDGS/RADIALS ARE FLOWN PRIOR TO CHANGING TO THE NEXT FIX.
