Narrative:
I misspelled saraa intersection and entered sarra in the FMS. Sarra is a point in california on a similar heading. After ptw I flew about thirty degrees off course for 10 miles until ATC noticed the wrong track. Consideration should be given regarding the very close spelling of an intersection in the united states that is on a similar heading departing the philadelphia area heading westbound. Perhaps a rename to one of the intersections with dissimilar spelling would be advantageous; or provide a SID for pne with saraa as an intersection in the departure SID.

Narrative: I misspelled SARAA intersection and entered SARRA in the FMS. SARRA is a point in California on a similar heading. After PTW I flew about thirty degrees off course for 10 miles until ATC noticed the wrong track. Consideration should be given regarding the very close spelling of an intersection in the United States that is on a similar heading departing the Philadelphia area heading westbound. Perhaps a rename to one of the intersections with dissimilar spelling would be advantageous; or provide a SID for PNE with SARAA as an intersection in the departure SID.
