Narrative:
There was no concern of fuel due to the fact that both the fuel indicators showed ample quantity and the navigation log calculation determined enough fuel for the new destination and also have enough for VFR reserves. Vectored for radar identify and for traffic avoidance. Received harvard young airport in sight, terminated radar service and proceeded direct to harvard young. Lost engine power at 1400 ft AGL. Simultaneously I proceeded with the emergency checklist and located various landing options. Emergency landing checklist completed. Ruled out landing at harvard young because of obstacles and altitude (houses, stores). Decided not to land on highway because of traffic and power lines. Determined that the best option was to land in an uninhabited field 2 mi east of harvard young. On touchdown I encountered rocks and the aircraft came to a rest. After touchdown: 1) verified verbally passenger's condition, 2) vacated aircraft, 3) contacted auths (911, tulsa airport, FAA), 4) completed police report, 5) contacted mr X to remove aircraft and determine the cause. Conclusion: the aircraft's engine was not receiving the adequate source of fuel. Instrument indicated fuel and so did the calculations. Mr X believes there could be problems with the fuel hoses along with the venturi. The venturi had just been replaced on the last annual of the aircraft.

Title: ENG FAIL. OFF ARPT LNDG. SUSPECT FUEL STARVATION.
Narrative: THERE WAS NO CONCERN OF FUEL DUE TO THE FACT THAT BOTH THE FUEL INDICATORS SHOWED AMPLE QUANTITY AND THE NAV LOG CALCULATION DETERMINED ENOUGH FUEL FOR THE NEW DEST AND ALSO HAVE ENOUGH FOR VFR RESERVES. VECTORED FOR RADAR IDENT AND FOR TFC AVOIDANCE. RECEIVED HARVARD YOUNG ARPT IN SIGHT, TERMINATED RADAR SVC AND PROCEEDED DIRECT TO HARVARD YOUNG. LOST ENG PWR AT 1400 FT AGL.
