Narrative:
Flying at 4500 ft on a 243 degree heading from 29G to dlz, the controled airspace of cak was violated. I had flown to the cleveland area following a route from I78 to 29G, but on my return flight I used a course from 29G to dlz and did not redraw my course line on my sectional, in flight. Upon landing at osu I was requested to call akron ATC -- which I immediately complied with. The situation as reported was discussed with akron and I was told to have my GPS unit checked and that a violation was not being filed. The event has been discussed with the CFI who completed my course work for the FAA wings program. In writing this report I have reconstructed the fact that I inadvertently created a problem by not redrawing a new course. This instance will be written as an article for a newsletter as a lesson to be learned.
