Narrative:
I practiced formation aerobatics over jackson county airport from 500-3000 ft AGL, from late morning to midday. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that he was not operating on an aerobatic waiver since the only aerobatic practice area was several hundred mi away. He had attempted to establish a legal area with no luck so far since none of the airport mgrs approached would give permission. He has an aerobatic friend pilot who has a private strip that may provide such permission in the future. He and a friend were operating 2 marchetti sf 260 aircraft. He further stated that this report was prompted by a passerby who came and recorded the aircraft identify number after they had landed. He thought that they may be turned in and need the immunity that this may afford!

Title: LOW LEVEL FORMATION AEROBATICS OVER AN UNCTLED ARPT WITHOUT AN APPROPRIATE WAIVER.
Narrative: I PRACTICED FORMATION AEROBATICS OVER JACKSON COUNTY ARPT FROM 500-3000 FT AGL, FROM LATE MORNING TO MIDDAY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT HE WAS NOT OPERATING ON AN AEROBATIC WAIVER SINCE THE ONLY AEROBATIC PRACTICE AREA WAS SEVERAL HUNDRED MI AWAY. HE HAD ATTEMPTED TO ESTABLISH A LEGAL AREA WITH NO LUCK SO FAR SINCE NONE OF THE ARPT MGRS APCHED WOULD GIVE PERMISSION. HE HAS AN AEROBATIC FRIEND PLT WHO HAS A PVT STRIP THAT MAY PROVIDE SUCH PERMISSION IN THE FUTURE. HE AND A FRIEND WERE OPERATING 2 MARCHETTI SF 260 ACFT. HE FURTHER STATED THAT THIS RPT WAS PROMPTED BY A PASSERBY WHO CAME AND RECORDED THE ACFT IDENT NUMBER AFTER THEY HAD LANDED. HE THOUGHT THAT THEY MAY BE TURNED IN AND NEED THE IMMUNITY THAT THIS MAY AFFORD!
