Narrative:
The manufacturer, our airline management, and the FAA have approved to remove all rain repellent devices on our air carrier's 737 and 757. Because of this I almost went off the runway landing in austin, tx, during an unexpected very heavy rain. I sent a copy to management of our airline and received response from them. I see an accident waiting to happen if the rain repellent is not reinstalled on our aircraft. It seems the management of our airline has no regard for safety in this matter, nor the FAA or the manufacturer.
