Narrative:
I took off at gyr runway 21 at XA02 with an F-33A. When I was in the upwind, I requested a left turn, but the tower controller didn't answer. As it was getting too late for a left turn -- due to high terrain -- I turned right and planned to leave the airport area to the south at midfield position. We told the tower our intentions, 'at 3000 ft, intending to climb to 3500 ft, request to overfly the airport sbound at midfield.' the tower controller then sent us to phx approach. As the airpsace B has its bottom at 3000 ft for about 2 mi on our route, we stayed below and contacted phx approach. Phx approach gave us a transponder code and cleared us to enter airspace B. After we had told him that we'd like to climb to 9500 ft, he cleared us to that altitude. In case I touched class B airspace any time before I was cleared to do so, I'd feel very sorry for it, but I'm almost certain that I stayed clear. In future times, I'll always keep a 500 ft clearance (vertical) to these airspaces to avoid any uncertainties.

Title: DURING CLB AFTER TKOF FROM AN ARPT UNDERLYING CLASS B AIRSPACE, PVT PLT MAY HAVE PENETRATED THE AIRSPACE PRIOR TO OBTAINING A CLRNC.
Narrative: I TOOK OFF AT GYR RWY 21 AT XA02 WITH AN F-33A. WHEN I WAS IN THE UPWIND, I REQUESTED A L TURN, BUT THE TWR CTLR DIDN'T ANSWER. AS IT WAS GETTING TOO LATE FOR A L TURN -- DUE TO HIGH TERRAIN -- I TURNED R AND PLANNED TO LEAVE THE ARPT AREA TO THE S AT MIDFIELD POS. WE TOLD THE TWR OUR INTENTIONS, 'AT 3000 FT, INTENDING TO CLB TO 3500 FT, REQUEST TO OVERFLY THE ARPT SBOUND AT MIDFIELD.' THE TWR CTLR THEN SENT US TO PHX APCH. AS THE AIRPSACE B HAS ITS BOTTOM AT 3000 FT FOR ABOUT 2 MI ON OUR RTE, WE STAYED BELOW AND CONTACTED PHX APCH. PHX APCH GAVE US A XPONDER CODE AND CLRED US TO ENTER AIRSPACE B. AFTER WE HAD TOLD HIM THAT WE'D LIKE TO CLB TO 9500 FT, HE CLRED US TO THAT ALT. IN CASE I TOUCHED CLASS B AIRSPACE ANY TIME BEFORE I WAS CLRED TO DO SO, I'D FEEL VERY SORRY FOR IT, BUT I'M ALMOST CERTAIN THAT I STAYED CLR. IN FUTURE TIMES, I'LL ALWAYS KEEP A 500 FT CLRNC (VERT) TO THESE AIRSPACES TO AVOID ANY UNCERTAINTIES.
