Narrative:
Significant radio interference was encountered over the antenna farm between highway 101 and pao. On several occasions in the past, I've heard morse code interference in my car radio while driving in this vicinity. This is the first time I've experienced interference in my aircraft communication. Although safety wasn't compromised this time, I feel it could be detrimental to safe flight. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter is new to the katana and to aviation. He has not heard the radio interference in any other aircraft, but his experience is admittedly low. The radio in the katana is a new king, one that the reporter had not seen before. The interference is in the higher pitch range. A conversation with an ATCT controller at pao shows that they have not had any complaints of interference from the antenna farm, either in the ATCT or reported by any aircraft.

Title: AN SMA PLT CLAIMS RADIO INTERFERENCE ON ATCT FREQ.
Narrative: SIGNIFICANT RADIO INTERFERENCE WAS ENCOUNTERED OVER THE ANTENNA FARM BTWN HWY 101 AND PAO. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IN THE PAST, I'VE HEARD MORSE CODE INTERFERENCE IN MY CAR RADIO WHILE DRIVING IN THIS VICINITY. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EXPERIENCED INTERFERENCE IN MY ACFT COM. ALTHOUGH SAFETY WASN'T COMPROMISED THIS TIME, I FEEL IT COULD BE DETRIMENTAL TO SAFE FLT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR IS NEW TO THE KATANA AND TO AVIATION. HE HAS NOT HEARD THE RADIO INTERFERENCE IN ANY OTHER ACFT, BUT HIS EXPERIENCE IS ADMITTEDLY LOW. THE RADIO IN THE KATANA IS A NEW KING, ONE THAT THE RPTR HAD NOT SEEN BEFORE. THE INTERFERENCE IS IN THE HIGHER PITCH RANGE. A CONVERSATION WITH AN ATCT CTLR AT PAO SHOWS THAT THEY HAVE NOT HAD ANY COMPLAINTS OF INTERFERENCE FROM THE ANTENNA FARM, EITHER IN THE ATCT OR RPTED BY ANY ACFT.
