Narrative:
I was told to cross the empire state building, turn east, head for the south end of the throgs neck bridge, remaining south of lga. I turned east, headed to the bridge and realized I was touching lga. I also was 100 ft low. I was distracted by my nervous passenger. I must ask for a sterile cockpit. The controller might have given me a heading, say 095 degrees rather than 'eastbound.' this would have helped.

Narrative: I WAS TOLD TO CROSS THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING, TURN E, HEAD FOR THE S END OF THE THROGS NECK BRIDGE, REMAINING S OF LGA. I TURNED E, HEADED TO THE BRIDGE AND REALIZED I WAS TOUCHING LGA. I ALSO WAS 100 FT LOW. I WAS DISTRACTED BY MY NERVOUS PAX. I MUST ASK FOR A STERILE COCKPIT. THE CTLR MIGHT HAVE GIVEN ME A HDG, SAY 095 DEGS RATHER THAN 'EBOUND.' THIS WOULD HAVE HELPED.
