Narrative:
On an instrument flight plan from bvi, canceled IFR, listened to the afj AWOS and then announced position and intentions on AWOS. Since wind low speed and almost a direct crosswind (wind 170 degrees at about 5 KTS) planned to enter left downwind for runway 9. Another aircraft called asking for TA and heard my announcement. Shortly thereafter a king air announced they were inbound for runway 27 and said there would be a traffic conflict. At that point announced intentions and subsequently turned to a left crosswind and subsequently a left downwind and leveled runway 27 behind the king air. The other aircraft entered a left downwind for runway 27 behind me and landed.
