Narrative:

IFR filed frankfort-3d4 to akron-akr approximately XX00 local time lansing, mi, flight service. WX and winds aloft recommendation asked for NOTAMS -- briefer said runway I-19 closed and taxiway 25/7 closed. Given visual approach, unable contact akron- fulton on CTAF 123.07. Landed runway 25 after checking tetrahedron, was surprised to find railroad ties at threshold. Follow-me truck said most pilots were not using runway 25/7 but were using parallel taxiway 25/7. NOTAMS need possible clarification.

Narrative: IFR FILED FRANKFORT-3D4 TO AKRON-AKR APPROX XX00 LCL TIME LANSING, MI, FLT SVC. WX AND WINDS ALOFT RECOMMENDATION ASKED FOR NOTAMS -- BRIEFER SAID RWY I-19 CLOSED AND TXWY 25/7 CLOSED. GIVEN VISUAL APCH, UNABLE CONTACT AKRON- FULTON ON CTAF 123.07. LANDED RWY 25 AFTER CHKING TETRAHEDRON, WAS SURPRISED TO FIND RAILROAD TIES AT THRESHOLD.
