Narrative:
I was not warned of military arresting cable on active runway. I was not told by control tower, was not warned in ATIS. It is mentioned only in airport facility directory. Upon landing, a cessna 206 with 5 on board in the dark, struck the unseen cable and suffered substantial wheel fairing damage. I believe this could easily be avoided by warning light aircraft to land further down this runway. The next aircraft may lose control!!
