Narrative:
Approximately 20 min after takeoff, advised by flight attendant of broken seat back at seats 12EF. Further advised that an FAA safety inspector (airworthiness) was on board and concerned. After checking credentials, invited inspector to cockpit to discuss situation and his recommendations. We concurred that seat was unusable and passenger were re-seated and broken seat back secured.

Narrative: APPROX 20 MIN AFTER TKOF, ADVISED BY FLT ATTENDANT OF BROKEN SEAT BACK AT SEATS 12EF. FURTHER ADVISED THAT AN FAA SAFETY INSPECTOR (AIRWORTHINESS) WAS ON BOARD AND CONCERNED.
