Narrative:

Student was flying to check. 50 mi south, he became disoriented and continued on a northwest track to R-5601B. He couldn't keep track of position, but tried to contact mcalester FSS, but due to low altitude, couldn't establish communication. He continued on until he flew into R-5601B where he heard artillery exploding and quickly looked for a place to land. He found henry post aaf and landed without a clearance, thinking it was duc. Contributing to this was lack of rest, mental fatigue, and panic, since he couldn't contact FSS. Unable to contact mcalester FSS for a DF steer he tried to ascertain position using VOR fix, when the needle centered on 270 degrees from duncan VOR. The military exercise was stopped and an accident was avoided. Henry post personnel were kind enough to rerte him back to check without further incident.
