Narrative:
We flew from gillespie field around the coastal route, upon reaching point coma we tried to contact our assigned frequency (125.1) from lindburg tower. Having no luck, I continued at a low power setting and tried to re-contact approach for the correct frequency. By this stage we had entered class D airspace. Once inside we saw an (S-3) and took action. There was also an airplane to his right so the only action I had was a rapid descent. We then were given instruction and flew direct to gillespie field.
