Narrative:
While on the ground taxiing at bwi we were cleared to the gate on the inner taxiway. There was some confusion as to which way the inner taxiway went. Txwys still need to be marked in a more clear format. Callback conversation revealed the following information: bwi planning procedures specialist stated the airport signage and taxiway designators are not in compliance with FAA standards. The airport authority/authorized has plans to come into compliance within a month.
