Narrative:
I lost the ability to transmit and receive over the united states I90 heading south to auburn. I squawked 7600 while flying through renton airspace. I was quite rattled over the problem. Now I realized I should have gone east and around renton. However, I am not sure that it would have been feasible due to low clouds over the foothills of the cascades.
