Narrative:
While on arrival to msp copilot was listening to ATIS. I took the transfer from center and contacted approach control. He said fly 060 degree heading, expect runway 35L. I read it back. Copilot is still listening to ATIS and not on approach frequency. I begin the briefing for runway 35L. After several mins controller asks us to verify we were on a 060 degree heading. We were approximately on 090 degree heading. Copilot had never heard clearance, and I, assuming he had, hadn't verified the new heading with him. I should thoroughly confer all altitude and heading changes with the copilot regardless of if I know he heard or not. Supplemental information from acn 322033: I was listening to ATIS while not monitoring communication #1 (ATC). Captain was monitoring ATC. I asked for approach briefing and captain was briefing me on approach. Center came back and asked if I was on a heading of 060 degrees.

Title: FO WAS LISTENING TO ATIS WHEN A NEW CLRNC WAS RECEIVED. CAPT FAILED TO VERIFY CLRNC WAS UNDERSTOOD BY THE FO (PF). NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC. HEADING DEV.
Narrative: WHILE ON ARR TO MSP COPLT WAS LISTENING TO ATIS. I TOOK THE TRANSFER FROM CTR AND CONTACTED APCH CTL. HE SAID FLY 060 DEG HDG, EXPECT RWY 35L. I READ IT BACK. COPLT IS STILL LISTENING TO ATIS AND NOT ON APCH FREQ. I BEGIN THE BRIEFING FOR RWY 35L. AFTER SEVERAL MINS CTLR ASKS US TO VERIFY WE WERE ON A 060 DEG HDG. WE WERE APPROX ON 090 DEG HDG. COPLT HAD NEVER HEARD CLRNC, AND I, ASSUMING HE HAD, HADN'T VERIFIED THE NEW HEADING WITH HIM. I SHOULD THOROUGHLY CONFER ALL ALT AND HEADING CHANGES WITH THE COPLT REGARDLESS OF IF I KNOW HE HEARD OR NOT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 322033: I WAS LISTENING TO ATIS WHILE NOT MONITORING COM #1 (ATC). CAPT WAS MONITORING ATC. I ASKED FOR APCH BRIEFING AND CAPT WAS BRIEFING ME ON APCH. CTR CAME BACK AND ASKED IF I WAS ON A HDG OF 060 DEGS.
