Narrative:
We were given a crossing restr of 35 mi south of ulw at FL220. We were cruising at FL260 at the time of the clearance. We set the point of 35 mi south of ulw in the FMC at an altitude of FL220. We started our descent approximately 55 mins south of ulw at a point of 38 mi. Prior to ulw ATC advised we had reached the crossing fix and were 2000 ft high. We had a descent rate of 4000 FPM and showed 3 mi remaining to the crossing fix. Also when ATC advised of the 2000 ft high we showed 1500 ft to level which at 4000 ft put us at FL220, at 35 mi south of ulw which is what our indications were. Checking with the VOR it substantiated our setting on the FMC. At 4000 FPM rate of descent the difference between what we showed and the center showed occurred within 30 seconds.

Title: CTLR AND RPTR DISAGREE REGARDING IF ACFT MADE ALT RESTR.
Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN A XING RESTR OF 35 MI S OF ULW AT FL220. WE WERE CRUISING AT FL260 AT THE TIME OF THE CLRNC. WE SET THE POINT OF 35 MI S OF ULW IN THE FMC AT AN ALT OF FL220. WE STARTED OUR DSCNT APPROX 55 MINS S OF ULW AT A POINT OF 38 MI. PRIOR TO ULW ATC ADVISED WE HAD REACHED THE XING FIX AND WERE 2000 FT HIGH. WE HAD A DSCNT RATE OF 4000 FPM AND SHOWED 3 MI REMAINING TO THE XING FIX. ALSO WHEN ATC ADVISED OF THE 2000 FT HIGH WE SHOWED 1500 FT TO LEVEL WHICH AT 4000 FT PUT US AT FL220, AT 35 MI S OF ULW WHICH IS WHAT OUR INDICATIONS WERE. CHKING WITH THE VOR IT SUBSTANTIATED OUR SETTING ON THE FMC. AT 4000 FPM RATE OF DSCNT THE DIFFERENCE BTWN WHAT WE SHOWED AND THE CTR SHOWED OCCURRED WITHIN 30 SECONDS.
