Narrative:
On arrival into dfw, I was concentrating on my flight engineer duties associated with ATIS and flight data preparation. At this time I noticed a discussion between the captain and first officer in respect to the altitude and airspeed. My concentration at this time however, was focused on the above stated duties. Apparently their discussion concerned the crew's inability to make an altitude restr and their efforts to obtain relief.
