Narrative:
I was taxiing my plane I rented to the fuel island at montgomery field. There was a pick-up truck parked in a position, where it was sticking out to interfere with aircraft. As I was taxiing on the yellow centerline, my left wingtip scraped the truck. No major damage or injuries were caused. I have never seen any vehicles in that position before. The owner of the vehicle, who is a non-pilot says he gets gas there all the time for his dune buggies. I do not know if he was parked there legally or not? He says that pilots in the past have told him not to park his truck there for AVGAS. I believe that no vehicles in this capacity should be allowed to do this!! If XXX or any other dealer was to sell AVGAS to dune buggie enthusiasts, they should do it away from any aircraft!! Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states he has heard nothing from FAA or anyone at the airport. He has contacted the truck driver/owner and his own insurance company. They are handling the problem at this point. His main concern is should such a vehicle, non aviation oriented, be allowed on the field and especially where it is in proximity to aircraft.
