Narrative:
Northbound from eze-mia on airway UA301 at FL350, contacted bogota center at position leticia. Between position martu and sje (50 NM south of sje) at XX48Z, observed opposite direction traffic on TCASII approximately 40 NM, 12 O'clock, at FL353. Confirmed readout with first officer. Then received TA on TCASII at approximately 20 NM began descent to FL340. Traffic passed overhead at FL355 while our aircraft was descending through FL345. Traffic was air carrier Y mia-eze which had been cleared to climb to FL370 from FL310 by bogota center. He had also been informed that he was in radar contact.
