Narrative:

Engine #1 failure on takeoff (suspected waterfowl ingestion). Engine damaged and secured. Uneventful return and land on runway 16L. Event occurred immediately after lift-off. Initial inspection revealed substantial first stage turbine and inside cowl damage.

Title: IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF, ENG #1 FAILED, PROBABLE BIRD STRIKE. ACFT RETURNED AND LANDED.

Narrative: ENG #1 FAILURE ON TKOF (SUSPECTED WATERFOWL INGESTION). ENG DAMAGED AND SECURED. UNEVENTFUL RETURN AND LAND ON RWY 16L. EVENT OCCURRED IMMEDIATELY AFTER LIFT-OFF. INITIAL INSPECTION REVEALED SUBSTANTIAL FIRST STAGE TURBINE AND INSIDE COWL DAMAGE.
