Narrative:
On taxi out in charlotte for departure, ground control advised us 'various txwys had reports of nil braking action in isolated spots.' while this report was helpful, it might have been more meaningful to us had the report included those specific locations on the txwys so we could avoid them. We discovered one 'nil' taxiway was actually a runway (runway 5) that was being used by aircraft to taxi on to get to the deicing location. No mention was made by ground about this location on runway 5. How about sending a vehicle out to drive around the txwys and runways to get some more specific reports for the flcs!

Title: NIL BRAKING ACTION ON TXWYS.
Narrative: ON TAXI OUT IN CHARLOTTE FOR DEP, GND CTL ADVISED US 'VARIOUS TXWYS HAD RPTS OF NIL BRAKING ACTION IN ISOLATED SPOTS.' WHILE THIS RPT WAS HELPFUL, IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN MORE MEANINGFUL TO US HAD THE RPT INCLUDED THOSE SPECIFIC LOCATIONS ON THE TXWYS SO WE COULD AVOID THEM. WE DISCOVERED ONE 'NIL' TXWY WAS ACTUALLY A RWY (RWY 5) THAT WAS BEING USED BY ACFT TO TAXI ON TO GET TO THE DEICING LOCATION. NO MENTION WAS MADE BY GND ABOUT THIS LOCATION ON RWY 5. HOW ABOUT SENDING A VEHICLE OUT TO DRIVE AROUND THE TXWYS AND RWYS TO GET SOME MORE SPECIFIC RPTS FOR THE FLCS!
