Narrative:
On short final at 300 ft AGL, GPWS 'pull up' sounded. Go around was executed, and it was determined that a flap indicating problem was the cause. At flaps 30 degrees (normal landing setting), the inbound and outbound indications were 27-28 degrees. Alternate extension was used on the next approach, and a normal landing was made. Extreme cold on remain overnight and destination believed to be a factor in the flap indicating system.
