Narrative:
Taxiing in at dfw and cleared to cross taxiway K at taxiway K5 after a sbound FK10. When we arrived at taxiway K5, no FK10 in sight so we taxied into ramp. Ground supervisor came on and said we taxied without clearance. We apologized and that seemed like the end of it. I should have asked first.

Title: AN MD80 FLC RECEIVED A CLRNC FROM GND CTLR TO CROSS A TXWY AFTER A SBOUND FK10. AFTER REACHING THE INTXN, THE FLC DID NOT SEE THE FK10 AND CONTINUED ACROSS THE TXWY. THE GND CTLR SUPVR QUERIED THE FLC. TAXI SEQUENCE DISREGARDED.
Narrative: TAXIING IN AT DFW AND CLRED TO CROSS TXWY K AT TXWY K5 AFTER A SBOUND FK10. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT TXWY K5, NO FK10 IN SIGHT SO WE TAXIED INTO RAMP. GND SUPVR CAME ON AND SAID WE TAXIED WITHOUT CLRNC. WE APOLOGIZED AND THAT SEEMED LIKE THE END OF IT. I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FIRST.
