Narrative:
This morning I was directed by ground control to taxi out to runway 12 for departure. For some reason that I can't explain, I turned the wrong direction and headed for runway 30, ground control quickly asked where we were going. After some quick discussion, ground offered us runway 30 for departure and stated the current wind speed and direction. I was somewhat flustered and did a quick calculation in my head and decided that the tailwind component would not exceed our maximum tailwind takeoff limit and we departed on runway 30. Now I find that I can't remember the stated wind speed and direction and I am not sure if I calculated correctly and I just plain have a bad feeling that I may have calculated incorrectly and that I may have exceeded the tailwind limit when I departed. I guess the lesson here is when you feel rushed it's best to slow things down and look twice at everything.
