FSS personnel were reporting visibility as less than prescribed minimums. A turboprop flight crew who flew the approach was informed about the WX when they arrived at the company flight operations. The flight crew was unaware of the change in visibility.

Narrative:
Center cleared us for an ILS to akn. WX was reported as 1/2 mi by FSS located on the field. Just outside the OM, FSS called on CTAF and reported a new visibility update. (At this time we were on GS and localizer.) once on the ground, the company flight operations said FSS was calling the WX 1/4 mi visibility. We both heard 1/2 mi reported. Not really sure who said what and when.
