Narrative:
After departure from st louis on flight X of feb/mon/96, we started to smell smoke odor in the cockpit. The smoke smell increased. We declared an emergency and returned to st louis airport. We landed and proceeded to gate xx. At the gate we could see smoke from the pedestal, so we got the people off the aircraft. A spoiler accumulator motor had burned up!
