The reporter did an 'a' check which required changing the main oil filters, motoring the engines and servicing them with oil. When the aircraft arrived at chi, maintenance discovered there was only 1 qt of oil in one of the engines and its oil cap was misaligned.

Narrative:
Did 'a' check -- changed main oil filters, then motored engines. Svced oil before closing cowls. Heard later that #1 engine arrived in chicago with 1 qt of oil left -- cap was misaligned. I svced all the engines the same way and really don't see how this could have happened. I really don't have a clue!
