Narrative:
Flight from bwi to clt feb/sat/96 was told to go direct to lynchburg which was slightly left of the heading we were on. Turned approximately 30 degrees left due to an incorrect frequency in our radio. Realized we went too far and set in correct frequency and started a turn back to right to the correct heading. ATC then gave us a heading for lyh. No conflict was noted.
