Center radar outage. Parked for 15 mins in holding area. We were #1 to go. With no warning we were cleared into position and hold. I got up to check the wings for snow. I opened the forward entry door and deployed the slide.

Title: THERE WAS A CTR RADAR OUTAGE. THE FLT WAS PARKED FOR 15 MINS IN THE HOLDING AREA, #1 TO GO. WITH NO WARNING THE FLT WAS CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD. THE RPTR OPENED THE FORWARD ENTRY DOOR TO CHK THE WINGS FOR SNOW AND DEPLOYED THE ARMED SLIDE IN THE PROCESS.
