Narrative:
As soon as we entered into holding we received an RA commanding descend. It was followed by increase descent. The controller had given the conflicting aircraft a descent as well. We broke out of WX to see the conflicting aircraft within a mi and 1000 ft. I descended approximately 1000 ft and then returned back to FL330 and was issued vectors to reestablish holding track.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: TCASII RA JUST AS RPTR ACFT ENTERED HOLDING. RPTR FOLLOWED RA AND DSNDED, BUT THE INTRUDER ACFT WAS ALSO DSNDING. RPTR BROKE OUT OF WX, SAW THE OTHER ACFT AND AFTER DSNDING 1000 FT, RETURNED TO ASSIGNED ALT.
