Narrative:
We departed dfw on runway 18L. We were being given radar vectors. We missed a turn given to us by ATC because we believed that ATC was contacting another flight. Our flight number was air carrier X. Another flight, air carrier Y, had taken off ahead of us and was being vectored by ATC on the same frequency as we were. The delay in our turn put us approximately 10 mi off course.
