Narrative:

Flight departed nassau harbor and contacted nassau departure on 121.0 upon being airborne. Nassau advised of possible traffic over paradise island and we complied and were looking. After 10 mi later and no further communication from nassau, I the PNF noticed a small twin at 10 O'clock and took evasive action to avoid. I asked if nassau had the traffic on mode C and their reply was that we were told there was traffic in paradise island area. Corrective action: nassau departure failed to further advise of oncoming traffic 10 mi after we were airborne.
