Narrative:

Approach kept us at 4000 ft almost to VOR to allow a twin under us to shoot runway 1 approach to rogers and cleared us to 3000 ft way late for normal GS intercept. Made fast descent to catch GS, broke out too fast to land with existing surface tailwind, so circled to land. I forgot to notify approach of our intentions to circle to land as had been cleared to local field frequency before tower up. Notified them on turn to final and canceled IFR on final approach to land. An inbound VOR/DME runway 36 approach pilot said he had to make a 360 degree turn because of us. Also, let student get too wide in circle.

Title: ACFT HIGH AND FAST ON ILS APCH DURING INST TRAINING FLT. GAR INITIATED, BUT FLC FORGOT TO INFORM ATC. DURING NEXT APCH, TRAINEE GOT WIDE ON THE PATTERN AND INTERFERED WITH ANOTHER ACFT ON APCH.

Narrative: APCH KEPT US AT 4000 FT ALMOST TO VOR TO ALLOW A TWIN UNDER US TO SHOOT RWY 1 APCH TO ROGERS AND CLRED US TO 3000 FT WAY LATE FOR NORMAL GS INTERCEPT. MADE FAST DSCNT TO CATCH GS, BROKE OUT TOO FAST TO LAND WITH EXISTING SURFACE TAILWIND, SO CIRCLED TO LAND. I FORGOT TO NOTIFY APCH OF OUR INTENTIONS TO CIRCLE TO LAND AS HAD BEEN CLRED TO LCL FIELD FREQ BEFORE TWR UP. NOTIFIED THEM ON TURN TO FINAL AND CANCELED IFR ON FINAL APCH TO LAND. AN INBOUND VOR/DME RWY 36 APCH PLT SAID HE HAD TO MAKE A 360 DEG TURN BECAUSE OF US. ALSO, LET STUDENT GET TOO WIDE IN CIRCLE.
