Narrative:
Received clearance to position and hold runway 22L, with instructions to be ready for immediate takeoff, aircraft on 2 mi final. The next transmission from tower to us was understood as our takeoff clearance, and with power already up as per previous instructions, takeoff roll commenced immediately. Then an airbus crossed runway 22L downfield on runway 27 or echo.
