On a pleasure flight to the northwest of D92, the reporter became unsure of his location. He circled the city of saline to gain his bearings. Upon identing arb airport he realized he was in the class D airspace without having contacted arb tower. He flew south to clear the class D airspace and monitored the arb tower frequency.

Narrative:
Pleasure flight from dtw. Cruised south to monroe/custer (D92) for pattern work. From D92, pleasure flight to the northwest by pilotage. Became unsure of location, circled city of saline for bearings and may have violated arb's class D airspace. Upon identing arb airport flew south, clear of airspace, then west. I monitored arb's 120.3 frequency while clearing area. There were no planes/traffic in the area.

BECAME UNSURE OF LOCATION, CIRCLED CITY OF SALINE FOR BEARINGS AND MAY HAVE VIOLATED ARB'S CLASS D AIRSPACE. UPON IDENTING ARB ARPT FLEW S, CLR OF AIRSPACE, THEN W. I MONITORED ARB'S 120.3 FREQ WHILE CLRING AREA. THERE WERE NO PLANES/TFC IN THE AREA.
