Narrative:
We departed jfk on a 6 day trip. No commercial chart on mailbox or available that was issued apr/xx/96. On arrival to lgw discovered we did not have proper willow 1 arrival plate. Although that arrival was in the FMC, I told controller that we were unable the clearance due to crew being away from base. Without the plate it was poor professionalism to accept the clearance and get creative in the event of lost communication, FMC failure or loss of radar. The controller understood our situation but I hated to admit that our flight support was lacking. If the FMC can get a major, very applicable change weeks before issue, perhaps that office can alert/expedite those revisions that we so dearly and direly need in the cockpit.

Title: FLC DIDN'T HAVE THE LATEST ARR PLATE REVISION, BUT WAS IN THE FMC. HOWEVER, THE FLC DIDN'T WANT TO USE JUST THE FMC FOR THE ARR WHEN THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PLATE TO REFER TO.
