Narrative:
Altitude was deviated from plus or minus 300 ft/heading plus or minus 20 degrees/'full scale' deflection on ILS and NDB approachs, ATC was told that it was a training flight and that the vector and approach may not look too good and was asked to bear with the situation and advise if we were needed to exit the area. This was a student testing situation and I do not know what could be done to prevent recurrence.
