Narrative:
Upon return of circling maneuvers (period photos) engine began to run rough and vibrate. Engine temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure displayed no indication of temperature increase or drop. All remained stable, within green indications. Manifold pressure dropped only 1/2 inch to 1 inch and fuel flow was proportional for the power set. An attempt to smoothen engine operation was not successful, problem worsened. Result was a loud bang sound from engine which resulted in propeller coming to a complete stop. A forced landing was made in residential street, gear down, all electrical and fuel secured. Normal landing in street and no injuries to passenger, people or ground or to pilot. Cause of engine failure was connecting and bolt failure (sheared) and exited engine case and cowling.

Narrative: UPON RETURN OF CIRCLING MANEUVERS (PERIOD PHOTOS) ENG BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH AND VIBRATE. ENG TEMP, OIL TEMP, OIL PRESSURE DISPLAYED NO INDICATION OF TEMP INCREASE OR DROP. ALL REMAINED STABLE, WITHIN GREEN INDICATIONS. MANIFOLD PRESSURE DROPPED ONLY 1/2 INCH TO 1 INCH AND FUEL FLOW WAS PROPORTIONAL FOR THE PWR SET. A FORCED LNDG WAS MADE IN RESIDENTIAL STREET, GEAR DOWN, ALL ELECTRICAL AND FUEL SECURED. NORMAL LNDG IN STREET AND NO INJURIES TO PAX, PEOPLE OR GND OR TO PLT. CAUSE OF ENG FAILURE WAS CONNECTING AND BOLT FAILURE (SHEARED) AND EXITED ENG CASE AND COWLING.
