Narrative:
PIC verified all baggage doors were closed and locked before emplaning. After PIC was complete with preflight, owner/passenger checked baggage doors and later said that he was sure they were locked. Shortly after takeoff, nose baggage door opened. Climb out was discontinued and a normal landing was made. In a corp operation, it is vital that the PIC is the only person who is authority/authorized to operate/close doors, though in this case, the door latch may have failed.
